In order to associate iron and glass with in some priority, a spark is needed between the two matters. I used a real worker’s funnel, bulky, metal, and non-decorative but utile. The more that the funnel will appears to be nothing more than a utility, the more will seem strong the opposition wanted with the impalpable electric signal. Its diameter is proportional to its height. The television set is placed in the center of the large cone.
To symbolize passage, there needs to be an opening.
The funnel is elevated to a height of 12 cm, in order to allow the air to pass through. An old technique borrowed from sculptor: to always make a notch at the base of the sculpture to confer lightness.
Sound sensors are posed inside the funnel.
The television set vibrates only when in contact with the sounds that run through the funnel. On the screen, only the wave is visualized, moving in accordance to the same principle as a hot air baloon. Sound waves are transmitted by the movement of air.
The funnel is not designed as a decorative piece, but as a sculpture in action, operational, despite its gigantic size.
